Private Online Therapy for School Principals, Superintendents & Administrators Across New York State
A Dedicated Space for Women Navigating the High-Stakes Demands and Hidden Isolation of Educational Leadership

Welcome. I’m Georgia Wimberly, LCSW-R, and I’m glad you’re here.
Educational leadership can be rewarding, demanding, and deeply isolating. Whether you are navigating your first building assignment, transitioning into central office administration, or carrying the responsibilities of superintendency, you may find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the person you were before the demands became so constant.
For women in educational leadership, the pressure to remain capable, composed, and available to everyone else can leave little room to acknowledge your own needs. I offer a confidential space to make sense of that pressure, strengthen your boundaries, and reconnect with yourself both professionally and personally. My practice is exclusively dedicated to women in educational leadership, including school principals, assistant principals, superintendents, and central-office administrators throughout New York State.
If you are looking for a seasoned online therapist in New York who deeply understands the public school landscape, my practice is designed to help you process systemic stress, manage institutional challenges, and create meaningful change. I provide specialized, private-pay online therapy throughout the entire State of New York, specifically tailored for school executives looking for dedicated, highly confidential care.
Over 25 Years of Experience
With more than 25 years of clinical experience, I bring a perspective shaped by both psychotherapy and firsthand experience in New York public schools. My 20 years as a school social worker, alongside 14 years in independent private practice, have given me an understanding of the institutional pressures, competing demands, and complex relationships that shape educational leadership.
You won’t need to begin by explaining how a school district works, the nuances of local politics, or the relentless nature of public accountability. Instead, we can focus on what those demands mean to you, your relationships, your well-being, and your career. Together, we will work towards greater self-trust, healthier boundaries, and a stronger sense of balance in both your professional and personal life.
A Space to Drop the Armor
Because therapy takes place outside your district's supervisory and organizational structures, it offers an independent setting where you can speak openly about professional pressures and personal concerns. We will work together to understand what is weighing on you, develop practical ways to manage stress, and strengthen the boundaries that protect your well-being.
You deserve a space where you can be thoughtful, uncertain, frustrated, or vulnerable without having to maintain the composed presence your role often requires.
Who I Work With
District & Central Office Executives (Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents & Directors)
Running a school district can feel like living on an island. For Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Central Office Directors (PPS, Special Education, Curriculum, HR), the pressure shifts to Board of Education dynamics, public scrutiny, union relations, and strict compliance demands.
As a district leader, you may be responsible for difficult decisions while navigating relationships with the board, staff, colleagues, and community. The people around you may have their own interests in those decisions, making it difficult to find a place where you can speak candidly about your experience. Therapy provides a place to clear the mental noise of competing agendas, ground your nervous system, and care for the person behind the executive title.
Building-Level Leaders (Principals & Assistant Principals)
As a principal or assistant principal, you are the shock absorber for your entire school community. You balance intense parental and community expectations, staff management, student crises, central office demands, and NYSED mandates, all while maintaining a calm, authoritative presence. Therapy offers a space to process the cumulative strain of leadership, protecting your personal life from the fallout of professional burnout.
